Strengthened Controls for Work Beyond Volunteer Capacity
Purpose: To ensure that any work performed on church property that exceeds the reasonable skill, safety limits, or availability of church volunteers is handled through a formal, accountable, and transparent process.
Policy Statement: The church affirms the value of volunteer service while recognizing that certain tasks require professional expertise, licensing, or specialized equipment. When a project surpasses what volunteers can safely or effectively accomplish, the church will initiate a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process to secure qualified vendors and protect the church’s financial, operational, and safety interests.
